This is an unfortunate development.
I worry about the implications for the Brahmos supersonic cruise missile system jointly developed by India & Russia. Would that be up for sale too?
I'm told Indonesia purchased the Brahmos system directly from Russia after being frustrated by Indian babudom.

Ultimately, there is no substitute to India
becoming self reliant in advanced weapon systems - precluded so far by
Nehruvian Stalinist neglect, Gandhian pacifist utopia and the brain drain of Indian talent to the West - to escape the stifling Nehruvian Stalinist milieu in our public sector.
