The last line betrays your fear.
The whole meeting was about whether the US could live with a Modi-led India, or engineer a Modi-less India.
Hope Namo had the savvy, and cojones, to convince Nancy that Modi-led would be better for the US than Modi-less, and demand a great victory in his first weeks in office at the same time - perhaps the deliverance of Dawood Ibrahim to Indian justice, and the dismantling of his network?
He can always talk tough, and get tough, with the Southern Baptists later, once he is ensconced in power.
