IRNSS-1 Successfully Inserted

With the successful insertion of the IRNSS-1, ISRO has laid the cornerstone of India's own independent GPS constellation.

The next mission (GSLV-D5) will take place in 40 days, and this will be the long-awaited flight validation of the indigenous cryogenic upper stage during August. Another couple of months after that will be the launch of the Mars Orbiter Mission. This next year will be a busy period for ISRO, and an opportunity for them to rack up a lot of advancements, hopefully free from any failures.
