Dark Knight Rises

I saw the final installment of Christopher Nolan's Batman epic, "The Dark Knight Rises", and thought it was fairly entertaining. It's nearly 3 hours in length, and the director's cut will probably be even longer. It's competing with Marvel's Avengers for highest-grossing movie of the year.

The dungeon pit scene was shot in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, with the recognizable Mehrangarh Fort as a backdrop. Not so recognizable from that scene was the chanting, which wasn't in Hindi, but rather in Moroccan.

The whole Batman trilogy is chock-full of 9-11 symbolism. Nolan's next big movie release will be "Man of Steel" - his take on the Superman mythos.
