Ace photographer..? Rajan Parrikar is better known for his expertise on Indian Classical Music. I think even he wouldn't call himself an ace photographer.

jatin is absolutely right. Parrikar has performed monumental service to the culture of our Nation especially through his website at http://www.parrikar.org/

Agreed. It's so sad that he has stopped writing on ICM.

jatin, we could always ask rajan. in fact, rajan, if you're reading this, please comment.

i know he's a great music aficionado, but so far as i can tell, he defines himself as an ace photographer. he is very attached to his canon digital camera and a whole bunch of lenses. each of his photographs is marked with the technical details of the aperture, DIN, exposure etc just like a professional photographer.

I truly agree with Jatin. Rajan is a man of high culture whose knowledge of Indian classical music is phenomenal. Going through his writings made me appreciate many of the finer points of raag music.
