Could Icebergs Be Towed to Water-Parched Areas?

An article in Time discussed the idea of towing icebergs to water-parched areas of the world. I'm thinking that this might be similarly feasible for India to do, just by taking bergs off Anarctica and towing them to Indian coast, and perhaps even inland. Or, maybe we just need to capture more water from the monsoon.Link

This is a very old idea and Ice was brought to India from US during the British time...albeit not towed but literally packed on ships!
