intriguing. sort of a raman effect? now you may see a run on turmeric, with prices doing the onion thing. sell the stuff at $100/lb to the cia.
a friend of mine is selling high-quality curcumin extract in capsule form. hope this will help increase his business. he claims it helps in preventing the onset of diabetes, and at his urging, i am taking these pills regularly. he is doing well: in his 50s, his hair is all dark and thick, and he doesn't need glasses, and he looks youthful. maybe there is something in all the health claims.

Turmeric is very good for protecting oneself from Tyrannosaurus rex. There is always some turmeric in my pantry, and I have never been attacked by Tyrannosaurus.
