Centenary of an epic leap: L'affaire Savarkar

jul 8th, 2010

one of those genuine heroes who have been erased from history by the JNU cabal.

i first heard about him when i watched the epic movie 'kala pani'. on reading further, i realized this was a man with a mission, one who understood with great clarity the semitic assault on india, and what we need to do to survive.

The name of Swatantryaveer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar (28 May 1883 - 1966) is a byword for patriotism. His leap into the ocean off the coast of Marseilles, France on 08 July 1910 is a momentous event in the history of India's freedom struggle. For sheer drama and audacity, this event has few parallels in world history. The event catapulted the issue of India's freedom at the international level.

Savarkar's daring escape and arrest on French soil became a cause celebre in the Permanent Court of Arbitration at The Hague.

The extraordinary chain of events starting with Savarkar's extradition from Britain to India on board the S.S. Morea (01 July 1910) and culminating in the award by the Arbitral Tribunal (24 February 1911) has been referred to as 'The Savarkar Case' and "L'affaire Savarkar" by British and French chroniclers of that time.

Savarkar's attempt to escape his captors won the admiration and support of freedom-loving people and the press in different corners of the world. It exposed the phoney law-abiding credentials of imperialist powers such as Great Britain and France.

Hundred years on, this event inspires courage, patriotism and the yearning for freedom. Please click on the following link to read the fascinating saga of Savarkar's heroic attempt to escape.

Data Cruncher (http://openid.aol.com/dcruncher4) has left a new comment on your post "Centenary of an epic leap: L'affaire Savarkar":

How do you find this comment. Charming, right?

"If we Hindus grow stronger in time, Moslem friends ...will have to play the part of German Jews."
----VD Savarkar, in Nagpur on
28 December 1938. Indian Annual Register, 1938 (1939), Vol. II, Calcutta

well, the actual statement was as follows. clever use of ellipses by this jerk, eh? i found that the original editing, misquoting, and de-contextualizing was done by one of the FOIL (indian communists in the US) guys. see how cleverly they manufacture "facts"!

so, actually what savarkar said was:

"If we Hindus grow stronger in time, Moslem friends will live in peace in India. Otherwise Moslem extremists will ensure that Hindus, and some Moslem groups themselves, will have to play the part of German Jews."

quite a difference the deletion of a few words makes, eh? and such an accurate prognosis! just ask the kashmiri pundits, and the ahmediyas in pakistan.

This sort of intellectual skullduggery is not new. The usual suspects with their fascist control of media distort their opponents words shamelessly. It has been happening since independance.

But, where is the centrist(Hindu) media?

oh, i also found this very charming verse that god, i am told, dictated: surely this must give all of us goose-bumps, especially bigots like dcruncher4.

9:5 Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then leave their way free. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

well, i played the same game the psecs play, and i manufactured the quote i gave above (sorry m patil for the slight subterfuge, although it was a pretty good quote i made up, even if i say so myself), while i went off and searched for the context of the actual savarkar statements. and i found it.

here is the actual context of the statement, and the full statement itself: it turns out some mohammedans threatened to use the same model sudeten germans (in czechoslovakia) used -- that is to appeal to their fellow germans in germany to come and invade on their behalf, which germans did.

indeed ironic that today mohammedans in j&k and other parts of india -- even after partition -- are inviting pakistanis to invade india. so the mindset of the ummah has not changed.

you may see the full quote on http://www.savarkar.org/content/pdfs/en/hindu-rashtra-darshan-en-v002.pdf
p 29

"Referring to the Sudetan Germans the leaders of the Moslem League threatened us the other day at their Karachi session that if their demands in overriding the Hindus are not granted in India they would play the part of the Sudetan Germans and call in their Moslems co-religionists power across the border inside India to their help as the Sudetan Germans called the Germans in Sudetan land. To that threat I retort that our friends in the Moslem League should not cry till they are out of the woods. They should remember that their illustration cuts both ways. If they grow stronger they can play the part of the Sudetan Germans alright. But if we Hindus in India grow stronger in time these Moslem friends of the league type will have to play the part of German-Jews instead. We Hindus have taught the Shakas and the Huns already to play that part pretty well. So it is no use bandying words till the test comes. The test of the pudding is in its eating."

as you can see, in the full quote, savarkar is merely responding to the mohammedan threat. which, of course, the jerk dcruncher4 and the communist partha banerjee from FOIL/ProXsa who first manufactured the quote, both did not want to admit.

almost everything these poisonous types say is an untruth -- that can be taken as an axiom.
