Sri Swamiji's music is a unique blend of the past and the present. He calls his modified synthesizer the modern veena, and uses it to play music that is centuries old. Sri Swamiji is a prolific composer and lyricist and has composed thousands of Bhajans, Kirtans and other compositions in many languages. He has performed at the Westminster Hall, London; Town Hall, Zurich; Chicago Symphony Orchestra; Lincoln Center, New York; Esplanade Concert Hall, Singapore; and the Music Academy in Chennai.

Sri Swamiji is a pioneer in the concept of "Music for Meditation and Healing" and also uses the term "Raga Ragini Vidya". Puritans have called him a "Vaggeyakara" (composing, setting to tune and singing). He actively promotes culture and invites musicians to perform or receive honors in recognition of their services to society. The other facets of Sri Swamiji include his work as Peethadhipati, Patron of studies, propagation and protection of Vedas, spreading the Kriya Yoga system of Pranayama, and establishing hundreds of Ashramas and centers to promote the message of universal brother hood.
