christist hooligan ravi zacharias lies about his ancestors

jan 17th, 2009

the usual christist lie about the (non-existent) thomas converting the (non-existent) namboodiris in india. that is, thomas never came to india, and in any case, there were no namboodiris in kerala at the time of thomas. but this crap is bandied about as *fact* in india.

in actual fact, zacharias' ancestors were likely to be a) OBC ezhavas, or b) SC/ST pariahs and pulayas c) SC fishermen. 99% of the converts in kerala are from these groups. about 80% were ezhavas, who, when offered the blandishment of free education, were able to use it, as they had been resentful of being excluded from government schools. the SC people were less able to take advantage of this because they had been brainwashed by society into believing they were actually inferior. the fisherfolks were converted at gunpoint by 'saint' francis xavier.

but *every* kerala christist claims they are of namboodiri ancestry.

what, serious inferiority complex, eh, zacharias et al? you should actually be proud of your humble origins, but no, you feel bad you were low-caste people. zacharias has three doctorates in religion? yeah, must be from the allahabad agricultural university, in buggering farm animals, like the "reverend" valson thampu.

i hope you guys write letters to this paper pointing out this fallacy.

Zacharias is a native of India whose ancestors were Hindu priests of the highest caste. His maternal and paternal relatives converted to Christianity several generations ago, and he was raised in the Anglican church as a boy.

this zacharias is a poisonous sob. he's constantly putting hindus and india down. he must be making a lot of money from the church.

Well, as Zacharias says they got converted several generations ago. I didn't find any evidence to disprove it in the blog. only the accusation that they "lie". "but *every* Kerala christist claims they are of namboodiri ancestry.". well, even if you find 99 Keralite christians are lying, you still have to show that Zacharias' ancestors were not namboodris.

Your anger against Ravi is understandable... but your understanding of history is quite awry. Your view of history is supported by a small minority of fundamentalists attempting to push an opposing agenda.Limit your critique to Ravi but try not to involve your ignorance of history.

What's ignorance to it. The Brahmin population is very small and we followed strict purity in race like the Jews. Also it's impossible for a Brahmin to convert and also to mingle with the outside world. I am telling this has a Brahmin from one of the last families. And we are going to get extinct from Kerala about 30 years from now. Then only for a namesake we will exist. That too in negligible numbers.
