Dear Hindu Brothers/Sisters:
A kick-off meeting was held yesterday at Arish Sahani's residence in NY, and it was unanimously decided to celebrate Fourteenth Hindu Sangathan Diwas in cooperation with Hindu Temple Society of North America and several other Hindu organizations on SUNDAY, August 10th, 2008 at Hindu Temple Auditorium, 143-09 Holly Avenue, Flushing, NY 11335 from 04:00 p.m. to 07:30 pm.
We celebrate Hindu Unity Day to commemorate the memory of Ch. Shivaji Maharaj, the Hindu warrior King who demolished Islamic domination and established Hindu Kingdom in India in 1674.
Dr. Subramanian Swamy, former Law Minister, Govt. of India and President of Janata Party has kindly accepted our invitation to speak on the 14th Hindu Sangathan Diwas which has become a sort of tradition in New York for all the Hindus.
We are waiting for one more confirmation from a very intelligent and knowledgeable leader of high caliber from India.
We will try our best to provide you with a high quality dance program and patriotic songs also.
We expect about 1000 Hindu people to participate in this great celebration. We take this opportunity and urge you, your family and friends to enthusiastically participate in this function and be proud of your Hindu heritage and identity.
We have decided to come out with a souvenir on this occasion. The rates of the advertisement are mentioned in the attachment.
We would like to inform you that his is a very expensive project and could not be accomplished without your active participation, support and cooperation.
