Little off topic… one of the BJP MPs who cross voted was H T Sangliana. He is a Christian and when he joined BJP he said, “I belong to the Christian minority, but I feel confronting them from outside is not going to help. I decided to get inside and try to set it right.”
I don’t understand the rationale behind BJP giving ticket to a person like this… he joined BJP in early 2004 and he was immediately offered an MP seat… this pisses me off… then what about the committed workers who toiled their entire life for the party and its ideology? There was stiff opposition from party cadres when he joined the party itself and they were upset when he was offered a ticket and now this guy voted with Antonio Maino. Buffoons of the BJP deserved what they got, don’t you think?
But the pity is there is no other alternative for Hindus other than these clueless BJP buffoons. Hope they learnt a lesson not to give tickets to persons who really don’t share their ideology. There is no need for BJP to pander like this just to look like “secular”. BJP needs clarity, deep understanding and commitment to their ideology now more than ever otherwise they will become CONgress II.
I my view BJP to some extent have already become CONgress II by having stupid political wings like minority cell. WTF, I mean if the party is against religious discrimination then why do you have a separate cell in your own party based on religions? Isn’t this goes against the spirit of your ideology and how can you justify your stance against Minority ministry set up by the UPA morons? The bankruptcy of ideas in BJP is mind-boggling and if the rot is not cleansed it will become another CONgress.
