abhaya murder suspects named by media: godmen thomas kottoor and jose puthrukail

may 16th, 2008

continuing the sensational revelations based on the CBI's interim report in the abhaya murder case, it turns out the chief suspect, the hitherto unnamed padre is one thomas kottoor. others given the truth serum and questioned by the CBI include another godman jose p. and godwomen sefi and another unnamed nun. (from the "kerala kaumudi", may 17th edition available in pdf on the net at www.keralakaumudi.com).

it turns out thomas kottoor, trained as a psychologist, had been able to game and defeat the polygraph test administered earlier. (apparently so also jose p.) but the truth serum seems to have beaten the blighter(s).

said thomas kottoor: "i who tread in path of god have not even thought about the kinds of things i am being accused of". now that i have picked myself off the floor after laughing my ass off and wiping the tears from my face, kottoor dear, that path of god, that would be yahweh, aka ialdaboath the jealous demiurge, i take it?

continued kottoor: "i have cooperated with the cbi in every way. this is why i took the polygraph and the truth serum test. i was summoned along with jose to delhi for 10 days for questioning after the truth serum test. the cbi has not revealed anything to the media, its findings are under seal to be revealed only by the court." poor dear, one's heart bleeds for him, so innocent!

a CBI DySP verghese thomas who had resigned from the service after alleging harassment and interference in his investigation of the case claimed that the then kkkangress chief minister's office had been instrumental in the coverup, influencing the central government to go slow on the investigation. he had apparently concluded that it was a murder, but had been harassed so much he ended up resigning.

the soon-to-be-sainted former kerala crime branch SP, k t michael, who categorically concluded that it was a suicide, and who destroyed the viscera as well as the diary of abhaya, had "no comment" on the latest developments.

apparently a lot of the credit for continuing to make noise about this case, which the impoverished family of abhaya would not have been able to do, goes to the "action council" that was formed in kottayam.

obligatory journalism reference: and what, did you say, about the role of the famous malayala manorama newspaper, based in kottayam itself, which proclaims loudly that it has the "largest circulation of any regional language newspaper in kerala"? it is certainly the biggest promoter of christist interests in india. what has been its role in all this? it claims to be a 'crusading journalistic entity' or whatever, but so far as i know, it has kept totally quiet -- so crusading is all great for attacking hindus, but when it comes to their own dirty laundry, the christists close ranks instantly.

no scathing editorials, no investigating scoops, nothing. it's been more or less "wink, wink, nudge, nudge". yeah, deafening silence, indeed.

why am i not surprised in the least? the malayala manorama is bought by every christist household in kerala and propagates the virtues of christistm. (no exaggeration: if you go to any christist home in kerala, if they buy a paper, it will be the malayala manorma.) unfortunately a lot of idiot hindus also buy the paper, adding to its coffers for christist propaganda and conversion. and btw, guess what its TV ads contain: m s subbalakshmi's "suprabhatam" -- because "manorama is kerala's suprabhatam". they are, yes, expropriating even the venkateswara suprabhatam for the christist enterprise, and there will soon be a version of it as the jesu suprabhatam.

this is an eminently boycottable paper, since they are "the vatican's national newspaer in india", alongside chennai's "china's national newspaper". their sister company, by the way, is MRF, fattened by the profits from the newspaper business.

mallunurse - by being non-xtians, aren't we Hindus anyway supposed to go to hell ? :-)

Rajeev- I think the sensationsalism of the news has made even the ELM pick it up - do a google news search for "abhaya" .. for example

but not the whole story, and with their own interpretations

There is also a wikipedia entry, which perhaps is not yet updated

Meantime, I read somewhere that the Supreme court ordered some stay for SIT on the murders and other abuses at the christian divine retreat center at pota muringoor . anyone knows details why the court took such a decision in spite of the seriousness of the issue ( see a news item from one year before, below )

DOUBTING THE DIVINE: The centre's director and eight others
in the organisation have been booked under various charges.

Tiruvanthapuram, Kerala - The Divine Retreat Centre in
Kerala's Muringoor's claim to fame is that it is the
largest Catholic healing centre in the world. It's catch
line: come away by yourself to a lonely place and rest a
while.

However, there is a catch. More than 975 mysterious deaths
have happened in the centre - that Kerala Police is now
investigating - and there have been allegations of rape and
murder.

Says Superintendent of Koratty Police, K J Martin, "Based
on the investigations, we have registered a case against
the main people from the Divine Retreat Centre. The case
has been haded over to a special investigation team now."

Police say that the 975 mysterious deaths took place
between 1996 and 2006 - that makes it as many as eight
deaths every month for the last 10 years.

Officials say several bodies were disposed of, without
informing the police and documents forged to make them look
like natural deaths. However, predictably, the centre says
all such allegations are baseless.

The centre's director and eight others in the organisation
have been booked under various charges including forceful
confinement and sexual exploitation.

Says Director of the Divine Retreat Centre, Father George
Panackal, "There is no such activity going on inside the
centre as has been alleged by the police or by the people
who want to malign us. We are here only to serve the poor."

It took an anonymous letter to the Kerala High Court
alleging criminal activities to start the police probe at
the centre, with the court itself forming the investigating
team.

With lakhs of Christian devotees visiting the centre every
year, clearly there's more at stake here than just
reputations.

The church is appropriating a whole lot of stuff from others. They should be thankful, rather than going at other religions like Hayenas.

The churchians are at forefront of slandering Indian civilization...For example, the church was complicit with the Nazi regime , but the SICKS(p-secs) cover it up in India by accusing somebody else as Nazis.

Did malayala manorama expressed outrage that others are being called Nazis, by the real Nazi supporters of past?

It is merely out of jealousy that many people speak against the Catholic Church in Kerala. The Church being a small group does as many humanitairan works as cannot even be imagined by the majority religions. The people who speak against the Church should ask themselves: what harm has the Church done to me?

i just love the 'humanitarian' works done by the christists.

1. murdering scores of nuns (several of them pregnant)

2. murdering (pregnant?) mistresses (the madatharuvi case in the 1960s)

3. buggering hundreds of little boys

4. and, earlier: destroying thousands of hindu temples

5. converting thousands of coastal fishermen at the point of the sword and gun

6. bringing in the inquisition.

ah yes, indeed, something to be jealous about -- they get to be portrayed as 'holy-holy' despite all this.

if you take all your so-called humanitarian works and walk across the arabian sea, nobody would notice, because these are money-making ventures, nothing more.

godman, what harm have you done? you have stolen most of the land and much of the wealth. apart from the fact that your imperialist death-cult is an abomination.
