obama's conversion of convenience. just like bobby jindal?

feb 23rd, 2008

he has thundered against hillary's alleged connections to india, calling her the senator from punjab. now he's changing his tune because he wants indian-american votes and money. and there are lots of foolish indian-american kids taken up by his rhetoric. i believe the guy is a fraud, and that he has nothing of substance to offer, other than rhetoric. in any case, he's not going to be one bit helpful to india, being a mohammedan manchurian candidate, or a chip-in-the-shoulder afro-centrist christist fundamentalist, take your pick.

just like bobby jindal, who sucked up to hindu indian-americans when he needed their money. and as soon as he got elected, he started dissing india and indians and especially hindus. i can guarantee this will be true of obama, too.

on the other hand, what he's saying is standard issue candidate drivel, so the CHINDU talking about it merely shows its idiocy. http://www.hindu.com/thehindu/holnus/000200802231321.htm

a pox on obama, and a pox on clinton! but on balance, i think obama is a bigger fraud than clinton, and even more annoying than her.

i wrote about obama for rediff, and i will post it on my other blog when rediff publishes it. anyway, i am not at all enamored of the guy. i also dont think he'll get nominated, except as gore's running mate. a gore-obama ticket is a possibility, and it can beat mccain.

i agree with arvind that both democrats and republicans are equally useless for india, but i am also inclined, like san, to support the republican candidate mostly because the democrats are such hypocrites. the republicans are jerks, but they are straightforward about it.

While most Republicans are openly jerks - I would have to say McCain is different from most of them in the sense that he really does not like the bible-thumping, Jesuswallahs!

He may have made token reconciliation gestures with the Falwell's - but you only have to listen to the latest tripe that Rush Limbaugh puts out to know where the guy stands.

Mostly - it is better for Indians to support McCain because Obama and Clinton just love China (specially Clinton) and would like nothing more than to give them everything America has (in return for financing Bill's campaign a few years ago) - McCain seems not to like China as much. He wants to keep both Iraq and Afghanistan going - in both of which he should have our unrestrained support. The only black spot on him is his liking for Musharraf -and his assassin dogs!!!!!But come one - look at Problemistan - what choice does he have? Zardari?

This doesn't concern ur post on U.S.

Title:Lets be fair to the Chinese, says Indian army chief:

Indian army chief says that Chinese incursions into Indian territory in Arunachal shuld not be termed as “incursions” as the Chinese have a different perception as to where the border lies. Wow!
If the Chinese invade and takeover Arunachal tmrw I suppose Gen Kapoor will say that it cannot be called an invasion as the Chinese have a different perception as to whom Arunachal belongs to. Same goes for Pakistani perception of Kashmir. General Deepak Kapoor shuld resign and join the Kangress party.

Kapoor is Punjabi. Notice that Punjabis and Bengalis are the ones who got slaughteredby Islamofascists and they are the ones who pontificate to other Indians on how we must live in peace with the Islamofascists.

Regarding the Republicans, they too support the Pakis. So the best thing is to maintain a safe distance from them or support one of the libertarians like Ron Paul (until and if he becomes hostile). I wouldn't trust any of them.
