Yet, at the cost of sounding a little "revisionist" and "counter revolutionary", one must admit that Communism is the lesser evil in the 3M triad of semitic death cults, if only for the reason that it has been defeated decisively and demonstrably in our lifetimes. It has been said of the Mullahs that "Where the foot of Islam falls, the very grass withers" . This scorched earth characteristic is equally applicable to the padres as well. I'm aware of people who were attracted to communism in their youth, yet saw through the dogma and turned deeply spiritual and nationalist Hindus later on in their lives. Such doctrinal apostasy would have been a bit more difficult had they converted to other dogmas in the triad of death cults.
In Kerala, if I am not wrong, the communist political base is brought up by the depressed and newly liberated classes in the tradition of Sree Narayana Guru. The Congress and the different Kerala Congesses are simply blocks of different Christian denominations, while the Muslim League represents the Muslim establishment , So with the CPI(M) taking on the Muslim and Christian establishments, aren't we seeing a genuine mass based development and rationality oriented struggle?
