This article says that India elects Woman President...this is not true..Indian population didn't have any input into this..only the ruling class did. This is like Pakistan electing Mush to be their president.

what a shame!

Rajeev,
An interesting article by you. However, I disagree on China being able to influence American presidential elections. For example, Indians have given Hillary $5 million not exactly an insignificant sum. If we cannot influence Hillary to such an extent, how can China. I think the most China can do is to pay money to Obama's coffers, pay for positive ads on Obama and negative ads on his rivals. And Indian-Americans have been doing that with regards to Hillary.
Obama's flap has to do with his Kenyan background and his leftist views. He is a socialist and just pandering to his base. He did issue a half-assed apology for the D-Punjab comment though.

When was the last time we ever heard India's political class ever utter such words or think along these lines. In my opinion its nothing short of a crime that somebody like Kalam did not get relected..

I hope one day we could export some of India's politcal incompetence and shooting oneself in the foot attitude and make some money out of it..:-)
After all arent we a 'Superpower' in pretty much every other area known to mankind..!!! ;-)
