US Striving for Cold War with Russia

Why aren't the Americans taking the offer of the Russian radar base in CentralAsia for their "missile defense system"?
We all know why -- because the "missile defense system" is focused primarily against Russia, and not Iran or whichever other pretext being cited.

What the hell are the Americans upto? Why are they so intent on making all these provocative initiatives against Russia? The Cold War is over, and Moscow is no longer the centre of international socialism, communism, or revolution.
So why are the Americans trying to pick a fight? Aspirations towards imperial overreach?

Clearly, the Atlanticist machiavellian agenda is at work here, behind the scenes.

But thankfully the Russians are resurgent, and won't be so easily contained.
I sense that the 2 lynchpins for containment of Russia -- Turkey and Pakistan -- are about to crack under the strains building on them.

The Americans are blind to the direction in which the river of history is turning. They are trying to steer their ship in some other direction, based on their own arbitrary whims and fancies. They are going to run aground.
