hate speech by the economist against hindus and hinduism

july 5, 2006

this is one of the most egregious examples of hate speech i have seen in recent times in any widely-read publication. it qualifies as full-fledged libel.

"Mr Mishra shreds the Hindu nationalists, purveyors of a religion cobbled together from folk beliefs in the 19th century, for the political purpose of opposing foreign rule."

a response in kind would be: "christism is a violent, murderous, death-worshipping cult that purveys a massive 4th century hoax about a non-existent jew, with the express intent of propagating white imperialism." why don't you say that too, economist people? that is quite accurate although admittedly rude.

and the business about the 2000 mohammedans being massacred, this was a pure fabrication by one christist priest, then propagated by the british embassy with ill intent.

why doesn't pankaj mishra's heart bleed for the 400,000 hindu kashmiris ethnically cleansed, and the tens of thousands of them raped, mutilated, and murdered in cold blood by mohammedans? or for the 10,000 sikhs massacred by the 'ultra-secular' congress in 1984? selective sympathy is ugly and usually purchased with 30 silver coins.

to simon long, the economist's india correspondent. if hindus weren't so tolerant, simon, your ass would be toast. but there is a limit to taking advantage of others' tolerance and you are really pushing it.

pankaj mishra is a perfect example of the stealth-marxist. this is the kind of self-hating and clueless "intellectual" that the pathetic indian education system has produced, which system the yechuris and the karats want to perpetuate, so much the better for when the chinese invade.

Psst, Want some dirt on the Brits

The British underclass: Ten years later

This one I think explains why the British hate the Hindus so much
"The British consider themselves the height of civilization, the founders of democracy and the force that brought culture to much of the world. However, there is one people that has lived with the British for many years, reminding them that their civilization is relatively new.
A good example of this was a retort by prime minister Benjamin Disraeli to an anti-Semitic remark aimed at him in the House of Commons: "When the right honorable gentlemen's ancestors were savages on an unknown Island, mine were priests in the Temple of Solomon," Disraeli responded.
FOR THE BRITISH, who like to look down their noses at most nations in the world, there is one people among them who constantly remind them of their humble beginnings. I do believe that this rankles the British upper and literary social set, which finds its manifestations in the so-called chattering classes."

PARANOIDS
Paranoia 'a widespread problem' in Britain

DRUNKARDS

Total Anti Semites
The Rise of a New Anti-Semitism in the UK - Shalom Lappin

BITCHY/JEALOUS PEOPLE
Anti-Americanism 'feels like racism'

COWARDS
It's not clear whether this is bravado but their message is blunt... white people keep out.

NANNY STATE NINNIES
"I read of the Government's plan to spend £224million of your money and mine on setting up a database, recording details of the lives of all 12 million children in England and Wales. Among other things, the Children's Index will record whether a child's parents are providing a 'positive role model', how the child is performing at school — and even whether youngsters are eating the daily five portions of fruit and vegetables recommended by the Government."

ORWELLIAN CONTROL FREAKS
Britain will be first country to monitor every car journey

So there you have it Ladies and Gentlemen - A culture of paranoid, anti-semitic, lazy, jealous, bitchy, cowardly, drunkards, ninnies living in a nanny state fast moving towards a state of Orwellian Control Freaks drugged out on the fumes of imagined / supposed past glory.

AND THE ICING ON THE CAKE - SCHADENFREUDE
"And Britain will not split into four parts. It will split into two parts—Scotland which has different legal and educational systems anyway and England plus Wales which may effectively be counted as one country. Ulster could go with either Scotland or England."

Anybody who feels like emailing the above to Simon Langoor and the Economist - be my guest

Do not forget to mention that we will send many more such links appreciating the beauty of current British "culture" if they keep up with their India / Hindu bashing.

Did I mention the soccer hooligans who are banned from travelling to most countries in Europe because they behave like uncultured animals?

habc, I cannot really understand why you perceive England/Britain in such a bad light. Consider this - Have any temples been destroyed in Britain any time? Doesn't London celebrate many Hindu festivals each year?

Didn't English society fight the religious dogma and domination? Did you notice that while Bush shamelessly invokes God to defend Iraq invasion, Blair NEVER does....? Do you know the number of people in UK who declarer as being of "NO religion"?

Finally, the most important question. What are you really going to achieve by offending and alienating English (or British) who might be your real friends in the battle of fighting aggressive religions?

Iamfordemocracy,

Sorry if I offended you - I have nothing against nationalist Brits - my problem is with the nosy busybodies who are constantly trying to bait India (has BBC ever been fair to India or Hindus?) - Why don't they leave us alone?
How long we should keep quiet thinking this might offend this person/that person. If they do not like being hit back they should not hit us either.
Do you have any constructive suggestions for dealing with these constant India bashers - I am open to better ideas.
At least my links are credible they just keep badmouthing with no proof at all.

habc, we should not make the mistake of demanding or expecting total agreement. Not many people are aware of the real differences between Hindus and aggressive religions/sects. BBC, I would agree, is partial. Still, we need to work towards making them more informed about Hindu religion and culture. We should not judge uninformed peoople harshly.

Different people, different societies, cultures have fought against religious extremism in different ways. In the later part of twentieth century, Marxists, Catholics, and Sunnis perfected the art of exploiting media power and human rights to their advantage. The readers of this blog have clearly recognised this, however, we must exercise care. We MUST NOT alienate everyone and anyone. That will not serve our interests. We aren't really strong enough to fight all the world. Why, we aren't even strong enough to find aggressors in our own territory. So, please be careful and keep the ultimate goal in mind.

Rajeev,

I was listening to Sw. Sandeep Chaitanya, and we still continue to listen, spell-bound.

A person of his depth of wisdom and spiritual maturity can only branch out to lead on his own.

When a fruit ripens fully, it naturally falls off the tree, and new trees will spring from the seeds.

That does not mean the fruit abandoned its parent the tree.

More power to Sandeep Chaitanya.

And more power to the wonerful Chinmaya Mission (the parent organization) as well!

here goes, i did painstakingly copy those links to see what v's pressing concerns are.

the first does not interest me. i am not desperate to go to sabarimala and i already explained earlier in this blog why it's a good idea that women stay away from temple during periods.

the second link points to some article that says "Hinduism needs a new Adi Sankara".

My response is, Adi Sankara's are not created by any 'Ism. They are created by the Divine as and when needed, and in the form needed for the prevailing time and circumstances.

"Yada Yada Hi Dharmasya...."... everyone knows these lines from Bhagavad Gita.

If the author understood so much about gurus, he would realise that the divine has manifested again and again, and continues to manifest. One just has to open one's eyes to see/recognise the manifestation.

Incidentally, tomorrow is Guru Poornima, the day Hindus honour all enlightened Masters, who have come to the earth to shine light and rekindle wisdom when there is darkness.

I bow down to all the Masters that have brought light and wisdom to humanity since the time of Sri Rama and previous avatars and then Sri Krishna, and then all the Buddhas, Adi Sankara, Sree Narayana Gurus, Aurobindos, and so on, and the living Gurus in our midst today. The same God keeps coming again and again in different forms, as Guru.

Tamso Ma Jyotir Gamaya.
(From Darkness Lead me to Light).

Kaalan,

Why don't watch TV instead of trolling .....

daisies said...

At least Darkstorm is honest in his dealings, unlike Kaalan.

Kaalan wrote in the blog "I would have enjoyed calling Rajeev a rat, but that's not what I meant."

As if such a statement doesnt automatically mean that he calls Rajeev a rat.

And he still comes back to criticize and preach. Pretty characterless, isnt it ?

He didnt even have the decency to let my nice post stay there longer, and pushed it away with his useless writings. Selfish character.

He doesnt deserve a space here.

I feel his comments should be expunged hereafter. Rajeev, is it possible to do so ?

Since you wont be sorry/unhappy if he deletes your comments, do us a favour, go away.

you will not at all be unhappy, and we will all be a lot happier.

we dont think highly of you, and you dont need us either. so why do you come here. lack of employment or something ?

daisies said...

v,

kaalan doesnt need you as secretary.

and i didnt ask you to go away.

keep coming here. we all love you. and we have work to do with you. lots of work.

if i'm ignoring you and not giving you the attention you are seeking, its because i am very busy and finding it hard to spend here.

"if i'm not ignoring you and giving you the attention you are seeking, its because i love your low IQ answers."

---- celebrity (albert Einstein),

a lot of people love me for my "low IQ" answers.

especially when even America, the only country from which you draw wisdom, no longer sees IQ as a measure of intelligence. this isnt something new, it already happened years back.

they have declared that IQ is a highly narrow and limited measure of intelligence, and that there are multiple intelligences.

so the narrow "IQ" you are stuck with may be missing or masked in me (and I am so glad), but there are other intelligences the world values, which i exhibit more here, and other bloggers value me enough for that.

it is because you are SO SORELY ONE-DIMESIONAL in your intelligence (like a programmed robot that operates with a little chip), that you feel the need to keep coming to attack me and some others.

we wont waste time on robots.

Albert Einstein, Genius, asking all these questions ?

And in such vulgar language ? (worse than Darkstorm at his worst).

Genius got redefined. This is the newest definition.

In any case, Albert Einstein wouldnt come here for answers

So we can ignore this character who called himself Albert Einstein.

He belongs only to the Norwegian Nobel Committee. They might accept him. (and they are unpredictable). We unanimously reject his genius.

And by the way, I dont "come here". I actually live here, in case you didnt know.

I only take breaks to go away from here. Sometimes very short ones, Sometimes very long ones.

You are the one who suddenly "came here" rudely, and keeps coming.

Folks,

Ignore Kaalan, the shameless preacher has no self-respect, and has come back here to preach to others on morality, langauge, religion and so forth.
