heritage foundation: us strategic objectives in the indian subcontinent

jul 11

the conservative us think tank the heritage foundation's take on the subcontinent.

what's got to be changed is the indifference to india that the top 10% of americans -- the ones who matter  -- have professed for a long time, partly because of the antics of krishna menon and suchlike leftist gadflies and the constant moralizing indian 'leaders' have done for a long time. americans believe it is their birthright, nay manifest destiny, to moralize, and they don't someone else lecturing them.

they also find it difficult to let go of their old dictum: "cultivate the dictators, they'll shoot the right people and make it easy for us to do business with them." those days are gone.
