I am a Westerner and a born Christian, but even I am ashamed at what
is happening in India since Sonia Gandhi, a Westerner and Christian,
became the de facto ruler of this ancient and extraordinary country of
850 million Hindus and 125 million Muslims.
Something terrible is happening here. On the one hand, you have the
Shankaracharya, one of the most respected Hindu leaders, arrested like
a criminal on one of Hinduism's most sacred days, even as politicians
who have more corruption cases against them than anybody else and
others who may even have blood on their hands are made ministers and
strut around with security guards in tow.
The tarnishing of the Kanchi mutt's image is nearly complete. Will it
ever be able to recover its sanctity, even if the shankacharya is
found not guilty?
On the other hand you see a quack like Benny Hinn, who has no standing
even in the United States, come openly to India, a country with an
overwhelming Hindu majority, to deride idol worship and paganism and
convert the poor and the gullible. We see ministers, ex-prime
ministers even -- many of them Hindus at that -- coming to the Benny
Hinn show, with heads bowed and hands folded like beggars asking for
the white man's grace. We see the entire state machinery of Karnataka
put at the evangelist's service and laws subverted so he can conduct
his fake show.
We see how when 36 innocent women and children were burnt alive in the
most horrible manner in Godhra, for no reason other than being Hindus,
there is no respect for their memory even, for the truth is now
twisted for political purposes with the help of India's Marxists who
want Hinduism's death. What a shame!

Hindus are always accused of all the ills and intolerance, but where
in the world will you find a Christian supreme leader in a country
where there are only 3 per cent Christians, a Sikh prime minister
where there are only 2 per cent Sikhs and a Muslim President with only
10 per cent Muslims? Poor Hindus.
This is an insult to India's culture, greatness and intelligence What
is even more saddening is the passivity of Indians in the face of what
is happening. Only a few voices have been raised in these moments of
insanity. India's curse is the disunity among Hindus, their
infighting. One is surprised at the lack of reaction even from India's
top Hindu spiritual leaders Satya Sai Baba, Mata Amritanandamayi and
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. Together they hold sway over at least 400
million Hindus. Why don't they form a Supreme Spiritual Conclave along
with the shankaracharya? They only have to utter the word and it will
be done. But there is disunity even among them.
We are not ashamed of the Christian culture in France; even the
American president is sworn in on the Bible. Nor, certainly, is the
Congress, which is incapable of finding a worthy Indian leader among
its own members, many of whom are intelligent and sincere. By stooping
to Sonia Gandhi, they repeated the same old story of India's princes
and maharajas betraying each other and bowing before a foreign ruler,
be it Aurangzeb or His Majesty's Viceroy. Who betrayed the mighty
Vijayanagar empire, the last great Hindu kingdom, to the Muslims? Who
betrayed India to the British? Who is betraying India today?
But at least the Congress is true to its ideals. The biggest culprit
must be Mr A B Vajpayee who in five years of power did nothing but
project a Gandhian image, rather than having India's interests at
heart. He and his advisers should stand trial when history is written.
Holy man in a controversy
The beauty of it all is that Sonia Gandhi does not have to say or do
anything. She does not have to instruct the Tamil Nadu police to
arrest the shankaracharya or tell Chief Minister Dharam Singh of
Karnataka to attend Benny Hinn's show. Just being where she is, at the
top of India's political hierarchy, is enough to ensure that her
silent wishes are fulfilled. Everybody is bending over backwards to
please her, even anticipating her wishes!
The Benny Hinn show points to not only a renewed effort at
Christianization of India -- something which even the British and the
Portuguese could not do -- and a targeting of Hindu spiritual leaders,
but also the westernisation of the subcontinent.
It would mean the loss of India's ancient culture, the loss of its
unique identity, with India becoming just another nation cloning the
West. Even the Muslims and Christians of India, who are like no other
Christians and Muslims in the world, would lose something.
Today I feel sad, sad for India, sad for the world. For India is in
mortal danger, its eternal Sanatana Dharma is under threat. And if
India dies spiritually, the world will also die.

acd, good points. the media in india is totally corrupt and it has sold its soul to the highest bidder. the only alternative perspective available is on the net, especially in people's blogs.
yes, indeed. the list of padma whatever awardees is entirely laughable. but the fact is that whatever a christian evangelist/hatemonger does is considered goodness by definition.

Well Rajeev, one thing I observed is that none of the Kerala media (controlled effectively by minorities) have reported the massive soul-harvesting project undertaken by the missionaries in the Tsunami areas. Moreover, they give less importance to the true charity provided by Mata Amrithananthamayi. So strange and obvious it is! 2 Prominent hindu groups SNDP & NSS are planning to unite for their own survival among the Minority(both Christian & muslim) fundementalism. Kerala is literally looted by these minorities at the cost of a highly tolerant , dangerously non-reacting majorities. Now when the hindus are uniting for their own survival & social justice, it's the Bishop communities, minority media & communists who are feeling the real 'heat of red-chilly paste in their rear-ends'. This is really interesting ...you should read their comments in malayalam dailies ..they say Hindu unity is dangerous! How stupid and foolish these humans can be and why do they have to interfere in hindu revival (that too for our own survival)? The best tactic, Rajeev would be the Gandhian method of boycotting these minority businesses. Go to Guruvayoor, you could see many shops run by minorities(esp muslim) looting us. Why do we need to buy from them? Sometimes Hindus are shameless in buying smuggled goods from fanatic areas like Beemapalli,TVPM. Hindus should stop subscribing to minority dailies and Kerala hindus should never buy from biggest looters like Alukkas, Josco, Muthoot (Oomen chandy's son-inlaw from Muthoot), Manorama, Deepika, Chandrika, Madhyamam, Mangalam, Alappaat etc. How many christians subscribe to Kaumudi or Mathrubhumi or go to Bhima or local 'thattan'(goldsmiths)? So why should the hindus be stupid always and why cant they save their own brethren? What will happen to kerala bishops if hindus stop sending their kids to their cash-rich schools/colleges in hindu lands (Christ College in Trissur is built on the land of Koodalmanikyam temple)? And why cant the kerala hindus fight for their OWN devaswom money to be used for their welfare (kerala temple poojaaris are dying, getting the salary of a peon and see how the Bishops living in palaces) and temple maintenance instead of donating to madrasas and minorities? Think about it....

ram, your point about the unfairness of the semitic-controlled media is well taken. as well as the idea of economic warfare which is currently being waged against unsuspecting hindus. i have never seen any christian in kerala buy any newspaper other than the christian-owned malayala manorama and others from its stable. this is typical 'minority' behavior; however, in kerala christians are no longer minorities. in parts of kerala they are at least 50%, in some they are 90% (eg in the western ghats, where they have grabbed most of the land quite illegally). and conversions are proceeding on a war footing. before long, kerala will be like kashmir: hindus can either convert to islam or christianity, flee, or die.
Preventing Hindu suicide in Kerala

Recent reports indicate that suicide rate in Kerala is the highest in Asia. Out of the total suicide, 96 % was from Hindu families. Suicide of Hindus in Kerala is one of the most disturbing phenomenons on the Indian scene. It is a dangerous scene. Hindu families in Kerala are under ruthless attack. The attack comes from several foes-the atheist communists, Muslim muscle men, and the Christian loan sharks. In the face of this many pronged assault on Hindu families-is there any hope for the future? It is not too late to save Hindu family from its enemies, but we must act now. Hindus are being fed a confusing hodge-podge of advice from different sources: pseudo secularists, atheist communists, missionaries, Christian, Muslim media pundits and westernized anti-national professionals. Hindus are constantly bombarded with discarded, failed ideology and destructive material value system deliberately designed to destroy Hindu institutions and the traditional social structure. They deliberately seek to destroy Hindu spiritual life style and supplant with dangerous, imported faddism. The so called pseudo secular, westernized media pundits, anti-national social activists, the leftist intellectual movers and shakers are bent on destroying Hindu families and their social support system. There is a far more sinister threat to the Hindu family, however. The threat emanates from those who are out to destroy Hindu institutions because they want to destroy India, or at least the Hindu way of life. Why would they attack Hindu way of life? Simply because all that India has become-full of creativity, variety, and uniqueness-owes itself to the foundational influence of our Hindu way of life. Hindu family system has proved itself the most effective economic institution the world has ever known.
Hindu family is the backbone of India. By weakening and destabilizing Hindu family life, these enemies of the home hope to make Kerala easy prey for their efforts at thought control. A nation is hard to brainwash when most of its people are from stable families that have imparted to them a sense of strong values, and a variety of wholesome attitudes on every facet of life. Our enemies would much prefer to work with the insecure, emotionally disturbed, poorly motivated products of a weak and unstable Hindu family. Unwholesome family life also creates economic dependency that Christian-Muslim loan sharks are only too eager to exploit. The collectivist's goal, of course, is to make as many people as possible dependent on Christian-Muslim economic institutions. When people are at the mercy of loan sharks, they tend to be subservient to them. The depressed, the despondent and the alienated individuals commit suicide as a way of escape from the predicament. Other gullible Hindus fall prey for the conversion gangs. Some of the forces that encourage suicide may be due to the predictable results of western materialism. These imported western values destroy the foundations of the Hindu family as well as creating confused, alienated, depressed individuals. I urge Hindu friends to remember two things. First, the enemies of the Hindu family are lying when they claim to have won the war in Kerala. There are millions of decent Hindus in Kerala, who are upholding the traditional Hindu values throughout Kerala. There is a Hindu resurgence and unity movement in Kerala. If every Hindu family in Kerala unite and commit themselves to battle, then depressed, alienated Hindus can be saved from suicide. Second, the glaring truth is that we must act now because we cannot act any sooner. It's pointless to debate whether enough time remains for doing all that must be done. we must use whatever time remains because that's all the time we have (within the next 15 years Hindus will become a minority in Kerala). Hindus must stand strong and united against the attackers. Our children will not hold us blameless if we sit with hands folded, enjoying our temporary comforts while the forces of darkness destroy our family, our freedom, our sacred Hindu tradition and our children's future.

Do you think anybody could save India? We Hindus have a nasty habit of waiting for someone else to come and do the job for us. Thats exactly whats happening out there. The Xtians, and Muslims would continue to destroy our culture and we would just sit there and watch the bloody show. OOmmen chandy has the balls to scrap the railway line from kottayam to erumeli and not one hindu reacted. I say, we need one person to stand up and say enough is enough. We should form a new political party and enter politics, but this time with a design in mind. Design for a better India, design for a fair and free India, design for a truly secular India, design for a truly Hindu India. We need power and we HAVE power, be it money or muscle. We just dont know how to use it...The typical indian problem, we need to be told how to do things. We want a, no We need a revolution. And since all the revolutions have started in Kerala, WE should be the ones to do it. The onus is upon us, lets not wait for some tom dick or harry to come and change the world for us. Lets get off our backsides and do change it ourselves...or else our children would NEVER forgive us.

There seems to be some hidden personal strife between Jayalalita the then CM of TN and the Kanchi Matth, which the Media has to bring out .
Swamijis all over India speak of sanchita karma (fruits of good and bad actions accumulated from past births) and insist on ordinary individuals that they should suffer it silently. If the fruits are not enjoyed/suffered during this birth, another birth becomes inevitable. According to the preachings of Swamijis, people have to welcome the fruits of sanchita karma, if they want moksha. The Kanchi seer also may show such equanimity and welcome his sanchita karma. Even after appointing lawyers charging hundreds of thousands of rupees per hour, the sanchita karma will continue to work as per the preachings of Swamijis.

dear sir, i saw your page today, i think many people in our land donot have a proper knowledge about hinduism. i'n my study and thinking it is not a religion like other religions which you are mentioned in the site. it is a veiw, and it can take any angle according to the possibiliteis. that means it can contain even other relighious lords also. it is clearly says in riguveda. many of the people in hinduism think that ramayana and mahabharatha are the sacred books, but the main idea and content of hinduism is contain in vedas. More over that it is a Path to aquie Knowledge, and it clearly says that that knowledge will lead you to the ultimate truth. Before reading and studying these vedas, how can a person jump to conclusion. so my kind request is that please don't here now a day gurus, just read vedas and upanishath and try to understand what you can from that. other wise it only leads to religious fanatism.
