The Forgotten Genocide: Tibet's vanishing culture

Genocide and cultural extinction continues apace. And Tibet's is an Indic culture, not at all Chinese. Tibet is being remade in the Han Chinese mold, as Tibetans are being reduced rapidly to a small minority in their own land (there have been reports of forcible sterilization and forced abortions imposed on Tibetan women as well). This is demographic warfare.

Thank you so much once again, Nehru, for paving the way for this barbarism. I can't post this material in full as it's copyrighted, so here's just an excerpt, from the Financial Times of London.

Rapid development poses new challenges for Tibet

On a high mountain pass
in central Tibet, three men, clad in heavyleather aprons and coated in dust from
the road, are making a painfulpilgrimage, pausing every few steps to prostrate
themselves on the stonyground in a show of their enduring devotion to their
Buddhist religion.

The Tibetans' undimmed faith, despite five decades of often
brutal ruleby China's atheist Communist party, is one of the few constants in
aland in the throes of tumultuous change. When the pilgrims finally reachLhasa,
the Tibetan capital - four months after setting off - they willfind a city that
looks increasingly like a Chinese provincial town, itsstreets lined with
Sichuanese restaurants, mobile phone masts sproutingfrom its rocky outcrops and
its suburbs filling up with European-stylevillas...
